Ingradata GmbH - intelligent graphics & data

InGraData GmbH

InGraData GmbH was founded in September 2012 in Osnabrück. Our name stands for "Intelligent Graphics and Data." We are a software company providing solutions for technical design and documentation of plant and machinery. Our primary product is the software package Process Plant Design comprised of the main applications Vectorpipe, IPID and Drafting. Our services include the sales, integration, support and customization of the software package.

Process Plant design was originally developed by Auto-trol Technology Corporation under UNIX for the construction of process plants. The basic idea of the software is to manage the component data in a database via a graphical user interface, generating the graphics from the data sets. Further development led to a porting to the Windows operating system and implementation on an Oracle database. The Process Plant Design package includes Vectorpipe, an application for creating a 3D model of plant and equipment and IPID, a program for the creation of schematic flow diagrams. 2D construction drawings (e.g., orthographic views and isometrics) can be generated from the 3D model.

Mr. John Matthews, former head of development for Auto-trol Technology Corporation, is the Managing Director of InGraData GmbH and plans to continue the business with the PPD package. In November 2012 InGraData acquired exclusive rights to the source code and distribution of the package.

Our goal is to satisfy our customers with full services for the Process Plant Design software package. We offer customer-oriented professional services as well as individual and creative solutions. We would be happy to provide details about the features and benefits of our software. Together we can develop a suitable concept for you.

Our software applications are constantly evolving and improving, with a focus on:

  • Software ergonomics, usability and user friendliness - These are essential aspects of optimization of our software development. Performance and ease of use should be conveyed to the user. We see the development of effective and intuitive features as a challenge we gladly accept.

  • Customization - We strive to make our applications highly customizable through a combination of an extensive command set, a simple yet powerful macro language, and programming interfaces.

  • Standardization and Data Exchange - We are continuing work on standardized interfaces that allow communication to other technical and commercial software programs.
