Vectorpipe - Database-driven 3D Plant Design

Vectorpipe is completely database-driven 3D plant design package with layout, detailed planning, and detailed engineering, as well as output and evaluation of the 3D plant model. Facilities, equipment, structures, and piping components are represented.

The system allows for targeted, simple work in the 3D environment. All necessary information from the 3D planning are stored as alphanumeric data in the ORACLE® relational database. True concurrent engineering on a plant model is possible through controlled access from multiple workstations. The central data model ensures the data is up-to-date.

The intelligence stored the model is a decisive advantage of this software package. The intelligent components communicate with each other, with data entry checked on the fly. Vectorpipe also features logic control functions. Collision checks and verification of intelligent connections between the components provide very useful tools for quality control.

Vectorpipe lets the designer work with different levels of detail, from simple single line to full 3-D detail, which can be switched dynamically. This allows the designer to balance high performance for everyday work and detailed graphics for presentation.

An assembly subdivision strategy increases the functionality and improves clarity. Detailed changes may be viewed and carried out within individual assemblies. Since the entire model doesn't need to be loaded, system performance is increased considerably.

Intelligent lists, reports and technical drawings can be generated from the model. BOMs, fittings lists, pipeline lists for the entire model or just partial areas are easily created. These lists can also be extracted independently from the application. Orthographic and isometric drawings as well as 3D models for export can be generated quickly and easily.
